Chaos[/u]
The most powerful of all God's of Oblivion, it is not considered among one of the nine Tailed Dieties, but rather rules over all of them and Oblivion. Chaos' true form isn't really known yet, as it has been so long since it was seen, but many Gaian Legends often depict it as a powerful and terrifying Dragon. Chaos has vanished for a long time, once vanquished long ago, but the nine Tailed Dieties eagerly await his inevitable and approaching return.

Yattsu Kaze no Kamaitachi, the Four Tailed Diety[/u]
Yattsu Kaze is a Kamaitachi of Oblivion who's name means "Sickle-weasel of the Four Winds." It is the four-tailed God of Oblivion. Kamaitachi's only true blood descendents are his three sons - Shikkyakukazeoni, 'Falling Wind Demon', Tsurugikazeoni, 'Sword Wind Demon', and chiyukazeoni, 'Healing Wind Demon'(In Japanese mythology, the 'Kamaitachi', or sickle-weasels, are a trio of weasels that ride the wind of the mountains. The first knocks down a person, while the second slashes their flesh with a sickle, and the last applies medication to the wounds. When the person notices, they are left with painful wounds that aren't bleeding). Other Kamaitachi besides those three are scavengers or servants who answer to the three sons of Yattsu Kaze. They are efficient spies and assasins, and are both hated and feared by Gaian's as bringers of death.(In Japanese culture, weasels are symbol's of ill-health and death.)

Yamata no Orochi, the Eight-Tailed Diety[/u]
Yamato no Orochi is a Serpent of Oblivion who's name means "8-branched giant serpent." It is more unique among the other eight Dieties of Oblivion for having both eight tails and eight heads. It's descendents are Yato no Kami, deadly snake demons that infest fields and prey on people in Gaia. Yamata no Orochi also commands many other lesser demons in his plain of Oblivion.
Tamamo no Mae, the Nine-Tailed Diety[/u]
Tamamo no Mae is a Kyūbi no kitsune of Oblivion. For a time, Tamamo no Mae acted as a royal Courtesan for the Ruler of Gaia, and was adored for her immeasurable beauty and infinite knoweledge, able to answer any question anyone ever asked. Everyone in the Royal Court adored her and the head Ruler fell deeply in love. Some time later, the Ruler of Gaia fell ill and went to many fortune tellers, doctors, and such to find out the cause of his illness, but no one could figure it out. Finally, one of the Ruler's followers told him that the cause of his illness was Tamamo no Mae who was really a wicked nine-tailed fox and that the Ruler's mysterious illness was part of a plot for her to take the throne. When Tamamo no Mae heard that the Ruler knew, she fled. The Ruler of Gaia hired the two finest warriors in all of Gaia to hunt down and kill the fox. For a long time they hunted her across Gaia. Finally, as the two neared finding the fox, Tamamo no Mae appeared in one of the warriors dreams as the beatiful Courtesan and begged for her life. She was refused. The next morning, the warriors found the fox and shot her with a magical arrow. On the verge of death, Chaos, the Ruling God of Oblivion appeared and, knowing the great power and wisdom the ancient fox held, offered to make Tamamo no Mae a god, to which she accepted. Ever since, she has been one of the nine Tailed Dieties of Oblivion, and the most powerful of all nine. Despite her great power, she readily follows Chaos and eagerly awaits his full return. Tamamo no Mae's descendents, the Kitsunes, or 'Supernatural Foxes', are very cunning creatures and excellent spies, granted the power of shapeshifting like Tamamo no Mae, they easily gather information on Gaia and report it to her.
