A heavy fog lay over the land, a white cloak that enveloped the ground, islands of treetops and cliffs poking out of the white haze. The early gray of morning sky laced with oncoming clouds filtered through the fading darkness that had been night not so long ago. The forest was silent, still of any life nor sound nor movement of any native inhabitants. No bird sang with the coming of the new day. No mouse nor rabbit rustled through the brush. No wolf or predator of any kind stalked the shadows as one would suspect. The trees were tall white stalks of thin trunks, seeming nothing but a graveyard of trees. No branches covered the lower sections of the tree, they were all but bare, leaving a large, open expanse of the forests understory. The tree tops were covered in brownish-green and silver-green blankets of leaves that fluttered and sighed with the winds breath, dancing light rays of dawn to the ever-shadowed forest floor. The floor was covered in a thick thatching of leaves and plants who'd suffered the scant conditions of little rain or sun. The silence broke like shattering glass as large, scaly three-toed legs crunched over dead leaf litter and debris, the inner-most toe curved into a menacing talon that could no doubt rip through the hide of an elephant. The legs were long and powerful, covered with rough lizard like skin, and even harder, thick scales along the frontward portion of each. The thigh's were covered in long snow-white hair that gave off a glossy, delicate sheen. Trailing behind were the long tail-feathers that resembled those of a sparrow, curving into a long 'V', the two outer tips expanding into the feathered shape of boat ore's. The body was thick, muscle's visibly rippling under the down-like coat of gray-tinted feathers. It's head held a thick beak larger than the head of a full-grown man, pointed into a vicious, curved tip. It's head was adorned with a crown of magnificent rain-cloud grey feathers with faint hues of blues, purples, and gold showing that were only just visible. The long feathers along it's wings showed these same variations of contrast. Thick veins and muscles bulged from the long, powerful neck as it stalked forward. Along it's upper beak were ropes looping around it's head and under it's piercing amber gaze, edged with emerald accents. The ropes continued down through many loops woven into several ropes down the length of the neck into thick leather-hide reins. A figure sat on its back, just behind the powerful neck. Along it's rump directly behind the sitting figure was a pack slung just behind the avian's large wings. Portruding from the pack was a line of leather leading to another large bird, this one carrying a much larger set of supplies. The rider was outfitted with a soft grey hooded cloak. The cloak had a collar large enough to hide her face in if she tucked her head down. The front-top of the cloak was adorned with several silver buckle's and clips that were evenly spaced and ran down the length of the cloak to about the center of the torso and reached long enough to drape down the whole length of the body, stoping just a few inches short of the ground. The figure stopped as the trees cleared and opened up to sky, the whole expanse of the mountain forest blanketed in fog below. Reaching up with a hand covered in black bandages up to the fingers and a dark brown sleeve of clothe from the fingers to just above the wrist, the hood was pulled back to let dusty black hair flutter down, silver-blue eyes like moonlight setting on the scene. "A week already..." She breathed, her breath billowing out in a fog all it's own. "It's no wonder the villager's don't travel through this place. The terrain is trecherous. So long as I don't drink any water from here or eat any of the forest's food, I should be fine though." She breathed a sigh as she looked out over the landscape, stretching her back from stiffness. "'Supirittsu no Yama', the mountain of spirits. They certainly picked a fitting name for this place." She said aloud to herself, her mount shifting impatiently as she looked over the stretching forest one last time, keeping the image in her mind. She gave the bird a light kick to the sides and it started forward through the trees again, leading the second, shadows draping over the scene of white trees and dead brush. The female pulled her hood back over herself, breathing another cloud into the air. "It smells like rain is coming." She said to herself, the gray clouds approaching from the horizon, the shadows looming ever close.

High up in a rather large and withered looking tree a girl could be seen. Her brown hair was being tossed by a small breeze. Her blue eyes were scanning the surrounding forest for something very few people knew off, and something she herself cherished; Innocence. The word formed on her lips, as if she were about to call for it. Suddenly, the girl cocked her head, hearing something. It sounded like someone was moving through the forest off to her left. She sat in thought, trying to determine he next course of action, when she sneezed. Hugging her self while her teeth chattered the girl figured it was time to get moving, no point in making the Order wait. If she could find the Innocence quickly, she could get away from this cold place all the quicker. She jumped down from the tree, landing in a crouch, her black and red uniform billowing out around her. She pulled the hood up over her head, something like ears were sewn on to it, to give the appearance of a dog or wolf. With her arms still wrapped around herself she continued through the forest until she reached a drop off, where the forest continued far below. She cursed under her shaky breath. “Of course I had to be the one sent on this mission,” she whined, “they could have at least sent someone with me.” Her mind turned towards a rather cute white haired exorcist and when she came back to herself she was crouched on the ground, drawing hearts in the dirt. Her petit from could have been seen from miles away since she had let her guard down, but she had figured no one would be in a forest like this, so why bother? She stood, brushing the dirt of her hands and shivered once more, her thigh high boots not keeping her legs warm enough. “Curses,” she muttered. ((Sorry if it's not long enough, I saw yours and I was like holy S***! But heres my first post.

((Nah, it's fine. I don't usually post that long but lately I've had a good muse going :3 Is Allen gonna be in here anywhere? huh? Huh?))
The figure-in-white shivered slightly, rolling easily with the motion of her mount, her hand clutching around the reins as the birds started down a rather steep path, slowing them to a sluggish pace. Stones and soil slid down the hill ahead of them, the long talons loosening bits and pieces of the ground. "Easy." She said in a hushed voice. As the terrain temporarily leveled, she pulled the two birds to a stop. The shape of a fox crossed her path, it's pelt a magnificent white, giving off a radiant and unnatural glow. It stopped on the path, turning towards her and examining her with ruby eyes before it sprang into the brush and vanished into nothing. She watched as it faded, breathing out into the air. "Another one, huh... This mountain sure is something... I haven't seen so many spirits on one place." She thought aloud, recounting the many other white glowing animals and figure's she'd seen over the last week. She clipped the side of the bird again and they slowely made their way down the steepening slope. The dirt path was quickly swallowed by leaf litter and dying undergrowth. Dispite the unlivable conditions, vines and shrubbery overtook the majority of the landscape, creating impassible walls and tangles. The pathway quickly narrowed, surrounded by thick brush on most sides, vines snaking haphazardly over the path, some thin and straggely, some as thick as legs. The figure dismounted from the first mount, squeezing under and past until she was ahead, taking the reins and leading them through the narrow confines. She stopped a moment, scanning the thin openings of cloudy sky through dying branches, breathing more clouds into the air with heavy breath's. She looked back ahead and continued down the path until it opened again into steep, rugged rocky cliffs. Pulling the two birds into a circle, she untied the reins attached to the lead mounts pack and tied the long ropes down before sorting through the pack on her first mount, pulling out a coconut-sized object. It looked like a fruit of some kind, dark purple-red in color, a stem portruding from the top. She pulled out the stem with a bit of effort, tipping it back. Some ofthe juice inside poured out, some trickling down the side of her face. After a few seconds she pulled it away again, coming up for air and wiped the trickle from her face with a sleeve, before pulling out a pair of bowls and pouring some into each. "Here ya go, guys. Drink up." She chuckled, rising as the two birds bent down for some much deserved refreshment. She pulled a sword from along her waist. It was a curved scimitar, the edge's of the blade silver steel edged with a red vein of color snaking up the sharp edge of the blade. The flat of the metal was coal-black with bright red gems set in the metal, and along the length of the metal were carved ancient characters that seemed like they were from some sort of ancient language. The hilt was comprised of two short wings of silver with red webbing, the length of the handle delicately carved with silver reptillian scales, the butt of the sword carved into an elegant snake-like head with glitttering ruby eyes. She sliced open the fruit with an easy swing, seperating the halves. She carved out the inner chunks of fruit for herself and the rest she tossed to the waiting mounts, who starting shrieking and fighting over who got which piece. She returned the sword to it's holster, buckling the leather to better fit the sword, and settled on a large slab of rock, chewing away at her share of fruit and watching the sky as the clouds rolled ever closer, thunder rolling through the sky in the distance. "Looks like my weather forecast was right, again." She muttered, taking another bite of her food. It was quickly gone and eaten but it was enough to fill her up. She rose again and approached the large birds, who'd finished already and were preening themselves pridefully. "Come on, boys. Time to go." She smiled, re-tieing the lead on the second to her lead mount before she took the reins and led them back into the trees, the first sprinkles of rain falling and filling the forest with a light hum of rain droplets on leaves. After a while of trekking down steep and now somewhat muddy slopes, she spotted a figure farther down the forest. "That's not a spirit..." She whispered to herself, starting down the trail with her mount's reins still inhand. "Hey!" She called, half-slipping down the slope. "Hey, you! Are you lost?" She called, the rain echoing off the trees of the fog-covered forest.

(( Not sure, he might be, just becuase I like him so much, lol))
The girl turned on her heel, not fully facing the figure that had called out to her. Her mind was racing, if she was seen by a normal person then it would be fine, as long as no Akuma appeared she wouldn’t have to explain and there for blow her cover and add another to the list of people not related to the Order who knew about them. But, her heart rate quickened, what if it was a Noah. She couldn’t take on one her self; she would last five seconds at the most. She shook her head, she was an exorcist! She wasn’t afraid of death. With that thought she turned to face the figure head on. The firry determination in her eyes died when, as the figure came closer, she saw just how big it was. “I didn’t sign up for this,” she muttered. The fog was clearly affecting her vision, but the fact that it was probably just a person with a couple of horses or something didn’t even cross her mind. The hearts drawn around the name Allen Walker were forgotten as she stood in an innocent enough stance…to most people anyways. Any one with a trained eye would be able to see her tensed muscles and her hand hovering over a small pouch at her waist which she new held five small crystals that could be as deadly as any weapon. She decided to answer and play along, “Yeah, I must have taken a wrong turn or something, the next thing I know I’m so deep in the forest that I don’t even think God could find me,” she snickered at her joke and glanced down at the Rose Cross on her shoulder as if to send up a silent pray of apology.

Her eyes traced over the figure, noticing the tenseness of the other figure, who she could now see was female. She noticed the uniform easily enough, quickly recognizing it, but hid her knoweledge with trained expertise, keeping relaxed to more or less show she wasn't hostile. She approached casually, leading her avian-mounts, a solid hold on the reins. "How long have you been lost?" She inquired, stopping a respectful few feet away. The horse-sized birds eyed the female with a look of malicious hunger, but were held firm by their master. "It's an easy forest to get lost in. The locals call it the 'Mountain of Spirits', for good reason." She said, recounting herself that she hadn't seen a single live animal in her week-long journey, which she still hadn't finished. "You haven't consumed anything from the forest, did you?" She asked, cocking a single eye-brow at her. "Drink any stream water? Eat any fruit?" She was generally curious about rumors she heard from near bye tribes and villages about mysterious disapearances concerning those who ate or drank anything from the mountain. She wondered if this girl would try and attack her, a small chuckle echoing through her mind at the thought. She wasn't exactly a novice fighter, and she wouldn't hesitate if the other girl struck first.

Emily relaxed her muscles, though her hand still hovered over the pouch. This woman’s questions were strange; they resembled rumors that had been included in the mission file. ‘She must know something,’ she thought in annoyance, ‘and she’s good at hiding it too, damn her poker face!’ “No, I have been eating my own food that I brought with me, I also had a canteen of water,” she brought her hand away from the pouch, “I’ve been lost for a couple of days though.” There, those facts were reasonable enough, nothing to suspicious and nothing too unorthodox either. She fingered the black bead that hung from her ear, wondering if she should contact HQ. She stood back to examine the woman, she took notice of the sword at her side, from what she could see of the hilt, it wasn’t just a piece of metal either. She glanced up at the birds, she’d never heard of birds like that, but then again, weren’t there birds that got as tall as men in Africa? “What about yourself, are you lost, or on some kind of journey?” At this point she wished Lavi was here, he would be able to get through this without even breaking a sweat, easily extracting information. But then again, he was a guy…maybe Lenalee. She sweat dropped and mentally sighed, she seemed to be lacking in so many aspects that her friends all succeeded in. Whatever the case, she was here, in front of a strange person who seemed to have a sword and a very confident aura, meaning she might as well have a big bright sign over her head that read ‘Mess with me and you die! Have a nice day!”

"I was passing through the area just past the forest," She said, turning and pointing in the far direction behind her. "...when I heard a story about the forest. They say that the forest seems to go on forever, and those who eat food off the mountain or drink the water is swallowed up by the mountain, then their spirits reside here forever, haunting the tree's and the shadows. Naturally, I couldn't resist such a curious rumor, and had to see for myself. So far everything I've heard so far seems true." She said, a small smile playing across her lips. She turned her head towards the large birds, leading the other females attention to them. "These two are Terrabi's. I'd think you'd call me mad for even attempting to tame them, but I can tell you don't know what they are." She stated before looking back at the stranger. She pulled her hood away, running her fingers through her dark hair with a sigh. "My name is Tsuki. So, what brought you out here in the first place? You must've had a reason for getting lost here in the first place." She asked non-challantly, fixing her gaze on the yonger girl. Her eyes were a vivid faded silver-blue that almost seemed to shine like moonlight, her skin almost unnaturally pale white, especially in contrast with her black hair. She gave a light stretch, her cloak opening slightly. Her body was lean and long, but elegant and fluid, adding an extra air of mystique to the traveller.

Two figures stood at the top of a branch mid-way up a giant tree. One slouched and sighed a lot, while the other stood tall and surveyed the area with a mad glint in his eye. Confidence emanated from him as he looked from tree to tree, seeming to position himself and his partner. He nodded his head and looked to his partner, "Yes, yes definitely." He paused for a moment then added, "We are indeed completely and utterly lost." He sighed and said with his slightly, "How do we always get into these messes Mully."
The second figure looked over with glazed eyes and sarcastically said, "Well Theo, it's my guess that it's because I keep letting you navigate." The more sarcastic brother blew a strand of hair from his eye and looked over the forest.
Theo sighed again, "Well, it took us an hour to get up here, we better start back down." He jumped to a lower branch, quickly steadying himself to jump to the next. Mulligan's eyes soften as he watched his brother descend, and he began to lower himself as well.
After a good five minutes of jumping, Theo landed on the ground. He recoiled as he found himself face-to-face with the bird tamer. He fell down on to his butt. The more sarcastic brother sat on the last branch from the ground and raised an eyebrow. His feet swayed back and forth as he said, "Who's your friend Theodore?"

As the man dropped down from the tree branch just above Tsuki she jumped, just slightly. Out of habit or what, she didn’t know, the point was, she began to have an inkling of suspicion. It was steadily growing as once again the word Innocence found its way onto her lips. ‘Oh if only someone had come with me,’ she thought. The two new people did little to boost her mostly negative feelings. Her brown hair fell over her eyes, shielding them from view as once again her mind raced with thoughts and questions. She nervously tapped out a beat on her thigh, her fingers making contact with the soft leather of her boots. Why was it always her that ended up in situations that would no doubt end badly? They were probably about to be attacked by a large group of Akuma any second now, and she wouldn’t be able to protect them all. She adopted a more mature position, putting more weight on her left leg she placed her left arm on her left him. Her back muscles tensed and her ears perked for any sound, mostly of the mechanical kind. She would let these travelers work out what to do next, she would just follow and protect as best she could and then snatch the Innocence. That was all depending of course, on whether these were normal people, which she highly doubted. Poor Emily, she was still to immature and childish to deal with this kind of stuff.

The two terrabi's, mainly the lead, shrieked in vicious surprise as the two dropped from the tree, her hand instinctively grabbing the handle of her sword, her fluid motion hidden successfully by her long cloak. 'A wise eagle hides his talons from view', as the saying went. She smiled inwardly. It was her favorite saying, and one she lived by. Just as quickly as she had prepared herself she relaxed, her hand releasing the hilt and tracing back to her side, a small smile of amusement creasing her face. "Well, guess there are two lost mice in the forest." She chuckled, refering the the two new strangers. She cast a quick look at the other female. "Why are you guys here to begin with?" She inquired curiously, the question directed at all three this time.

Emily scratched her cheek in thought. “I’m here because I was traveling to my grandmothers…” It had been the first thing that popped into her head and it was weak. She looked down at her boots. They weren’t even fit for traveling in the forest; they were high heels for god’s sake! Now that she thought about it, the shorts and the jacket didn’t help much either. It only showed off her slim figure. She looked at the other two men with a huff, screw the rules, “actually, I’m here on a mission to find…” The word didn’t leave her mouth, it formed on her lips but she covered her mouth in annoyance. “Sorry, it won’t let me say, I have a spell put on me you see. I can’t say certain words or see certain things. All because of that stupid no good, Hitler wannabe!” She cried in frustration.

Tsuki blinked at her blankly, before a smile stretched across her face. "So you're actually telling the truth now, huh?" She said, seeming to have read that she was lying the whole time. "So, because of the strange phenomena of this forest, you were sent to find out if 'you-know-what' is the cause." She said, giving Emily a knowing smile. "You'd be a better liar without the Order's uniform and crest." She said, stretching. "Well, I know that there is a Village just outside the forest. Someone there might have an idea as to it's whereabouts if there is any." She said reassuringly. "So, are you just out here by your lonesome, or you got some other friends wandering stupidly around here that you know of?" She probed.

Emily’s eyes filled with tears and she sniffled. “They sent me here alone, and they didn’t even let Allen come with me!” She cried. All in all the girls who was now crouched on the ground, once again drawing in the dirt, was a very child like person. Left alone she would either wonder around or actually try to do something and hurt herself; though she seemed to be doing ok up until this point. Emily pushed herself up again, her fists clenched. “I must be strong; I have a sync rate of 93% I have to act like it!” She said triumphantly. She wiped away her tears and looked at the two men. She sighed and suddenly she was all smiles again. Her blue and yellow eyes sparkling with cheer. She looked back behind her; something told her the Innocence was that way, deeper into the forest. She shivered, more cold and loneliness was ahead.

Tsuki didn't seem particularly interested as Emily broke down crying, watching silently before she stood up again. "Well, either way I need to stop down and get some supplies." She said, scratching the side of her nose absently before she started down the sloping trail. "Watch your step, the fog thickens the further into the valley you get." She warned, grabbing hold of spindly trees and brush in her descent. "It'll take until tomarrow afternoon to reach the village if we camp the night, and I don't know about you, but I don't want to be trekking the mountain at night." She said, the cold air making her shiver lightly.

Mulligan jumped down from the tree and slouched as he spoke, "Theo, it may be in our best interest to stay with these people." Theodore nodded and looked to Tsuki, thrusting a hand in the air, "We just... got stuck here. May we camp with you, our supplies are very minimal." Mulligan walked to Theo's side and discreetly slipped his hand into his brother's pocket, but he obviously wasn't stealing anything.
((OMFG!!!! BROMANCE!!!!))
